1st “Early Morning Brewhurst” by Derek Grieve
2nd "Lock Gates" by Martin Roffey -
3rd "Brewhurst Lock" by Derek Heath.
This was our third competition and there were a record number of entries: 117. It was good to see entries from photographic clubs. The images were varied and included infra red, black and white, time lapse and macro shots of insects.
There were three judges: Malcolm Roberts of Castle Street Studios, Guildford, Alison Snell who has considerable experience working in industry as a photographer and John Wood who spent his working life in the photographic industry. Inevitably, given the wide ranging styles of the entries the judges choices varied but it proved possible to reach a consensus.
