Notice of Extraordinary General Meeting 2010.

An Extraordinary General Meeting of the Wey & Arun Canal Trust Limited will be held on Saturday 23 October 2010, at Bramley Village Hall, starting at 2.30pm.
The meeting is an opportunity for members to hear the latest reports on the canal's restoration and WACT's financial position. Also, the two Poddle Cups will be presented to the 2010 winners and there will be a report on WAEL's recent activities.
The agenda will be as follows:
- Apologies for absence (please see below).
- To confirm the Minutes of the 37th Annual General Meeting held on 24 April 2010. Copies will be available at the meeting.
- Chairman's Report
Sally Schupke will update members on the Trust's activities during the last six months.
- Hon. Treasurer's Report
Jim Phillips will speak about the current financial position.
- To present the Poddle Cups.
- W&A Enterprises Ltd - there will be a report on the Company's recent activities.
- Next Meeting. To confirm the date of the Annual General Meeting for 2011. Proposed to be 16th April 2011, venue to be confirmed.

After the formal meeting, we plan to show the BBC Politics Show South segment filmed on the canal and there will be updates on the latest restoration work (in Loxwood, Dunsfold and Shalford/Bramley areas) and future plans.
Directions to Bramley Village Hall.
Bramley Village Hall is in Hall Road, just south of Station Road (B2128). There is some parking space outside the hall. If this space is full then you should be able to find parking in local roads or at the old railway station site on the north side of Station Road.
If coming from the north (Guildford direction), take the A281 to the mini-roundabout by the petrol station, just after entering the village, then turn left into Station Road and right into Hall Road after about 200 yards. The hall is on the right.
If coming from the south (Horsham direction), take the A281 to the mini-roundabout by the petrol station , after passing the shops, church and pubs, then turn right into Station Road and right into Hall Road after about 200 yards. The hall is on the right.
Arriva bus routes 24, 53 and 63 link Bramley with Guildford about every 20 minutes. Bus 63 (hourly) links Bramley with Horsham.
