IWA Responds to Tory Party Proposals for BW

The Inland Waterways Association (IWA) has recently sent out a press
release prompted by the BBC radio interview with Oliver Letwin MP(Conservative shadow chancellor)
who announced plans by the Conservative Party to sell off British Waterways assets.
The IWA has criticised these plans and urges everyone to write to their local MP,
especially if they are Tory.
Like the IWA, the Wey & Arun Canal Trust is a national charity with no
political allegiance. We are bringing this to your attention as IWA
is recommending to all its members, associated organizations and
waterways groups to strongly oppose such a policy and lobby against it
wherever you can. Further information is available on their website

If you would like to receive future press releases by email or fax, please let Sally know.
