Have you ever paddled across an aqueduct - or touched the nose of your boat on the end of the restored section of the Wey & Arun Canal? If not - then this is your opportunity because the Canal Trust is inviting all small boats to join in on a fun day out for all the family on Sunday, 18th May. There will be lock-keepers in attendance so you won't even have to get out at the locks. You will also be able to view the current restoration work which is the new tunnel under Loxwood High Street.
The fun starts just after 9.30am with the launching of the boats from Drungewick Slipway and then they will all make for Baldwins Knob Lock and along to Loxwood. All entries welcome. Please telephone 01483 503029 or email
rallies@weyandarun.co.uk for an application form - entry fee is £12 or £5 for a single canoe. The form can also be downloaded from our website
Here
If you don't own a boat - then take the opportunity to enjoy the scene by coming along to see the fun and all the boats, and later perhaps join a 45-minute cruise on one of our public trip boats.
